Dr. Przemysław Baraniecki is an agronomist specializing in the technology of growing fibrous plants, especially hemp. He is a researcher at the Utility Plants Agronomy Department the Institute of Natural Fibers and Medicinal Plants State Research Institute in Poznan, Poland (IWNiRZ PIB). His main scientific interests concern the development of hemp cultivation technology and adapting it to specific production needs. He has published over 80 scientific articles in journals, book chapters, and national and international conferences. He manages and conducts research activitiesv at IWNiRZ PIB. He participated in research and R&D projects in the 6th and 7th EU Framework Programs and Horizon 2020: EUROCROP, CROP2INDUSTRY, FIBRA, MAGIC, as well as in projects under Eranet (Halosys) and Life+ (EKOHEMPKON). Since 2017, one of the key employees involved in the Polish Hemp Program - a special program whose aim is to reproduce certified seeds of Polish varieties of industrial hemp grown at the Institute of Natural Fibers and Herbal Plants, promotion and implementation of Institutes's IPs.
