Summer Star Haeske has spent decades working alongside the ‘pioneer of hemp’ fiber, fabrics and finished products, Ms. Barbara Filippone (her mother) in all areas of the hemp industry. She was an essential ingredient in the opening of EnviroTextiles more than 22 years ago and has assisted in all phases of the company as well as the development, sales and export/importation of hemp textiles. Summer’s responsibilities include maintaining production for EnviroTextiles stock , new product development and customs for client brands, Sales & Marketing as well as International and Domestic Transport codes and logistics worldwide. Summer Star is passionate about marketing hemp for a better sustainable future, which has awarded her the youngest Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016 and countless other accreditations. She has been successful in mainstreaming hemp fabrics and fashion in countless high profile media, and continues to educate designer's and public about the product’s environmental, health, and biological advantages.
