Kelley Hess Tennessee Growers Coalition Founder & CEO Kelley Hess is the Founder and CEO of the TN Growers Coalition, the non-profit, non-partisan political action committee committed to hemp and cannabis advocacy in the state of Tennessee. Hess founded the TN Growers Coalition in 2018 and since, TGC has passed many hemp bills in the TN General Assembly, including the legalization of smokable hemp.TN are one of the best states in the Union to grow, process, and consume hemp. This year, TGC passed the "Hot Oil Bill" that allows the movement of concentrate of up to 5% for manufacturers and processors in the State. TGC also brought a bill to protect Delta 8 and all other minor cannabinoids by regulating and taxing products. Unfortunately, that bill was defeated and a Delta 8 Ban Bill was introduced. TGC was also a part of a larger coalition that defeated that proposal. Looking forward to 2023, TGC will continue to fight for the protection of the TN hemp industry and the advancement of cannabis reform.
