CropScout Christie
Soil Health Specialist and Agronomist

Working in the professional space of agronomy for 14 years now, Christie's foundational crop experience had been in traditional row crop. These past several years, however, she's moved into the specialty crops, tree fruit and veg crops, consulting for vineyards, hops, and orchards and more recently earned her chops in the cannabis world. She also maintains an agronomy sales leadership role within TimacAgroUSA, a crop nutrient and bio-stimulant company. There she is responsible for on-going field education and mentoring for a team of sales reps, and she also handles new business development within the wholesale distribution chain for the Great Lakes. Stepping bravely into coaching farmers and fellow agronomist on hemp production since 2018, she's recognized that very few technical support resources were available to growers. Seeing this gap she stepped into action immediately to help document and shape the agronomic strategies to support farmer success with a keen eye on soil quality. Her focus has always been in the in soil health, crop nutrition and IPM. However, she has found herself becoming an ever-growing conduit for connecting growers to all layers of cannabis production, not just the soil health and soil fertility. CropScout Christie, as she is known on social media, will be bringing to us some practical coaching on how to have a positive outcome for any hemp venture. Leaning on her field experience, she will be breaking down critical problem clusters growers continue to face by fostering a soil-health systems approach to tackling fertility, pest management and crop quality.
