Dr. Marielle Weintraub is a founding board member and the current President of the U.S. Hemp Authority (USHA). The USHA Certification Program is the hemp industry\'s initiative to provide high standards, best practices, and self-regulation to increase confidence for consumers and regulators. Dr. Weintraub\'s role in USHA is a voluntary position, and she continues to support the Cannabis market daily in her career as Director of Scientific Strategy for OTC and Contaminants Testing at Eurofins FCT-Madison. Prior her role at Eurofins, Dr. Weintraub spent three years developing supplements, cosmetics, and RTD products for the U.S. hemp and CBD industry. Dr. Weintraub is very active in many OTC, dietary supplement and natural product industry trade associations. She participates on Expert Review Panels and Working Groups for AOAC International\'s-Cannabis Analytic Science Programs, is a member for CHPA\'s Quality and Manufacturing of Dietary Supplements and OTCs Committee, and a member of the American Herbal Products Association-Cannabis Committee. Dr. Marielle Weintraub earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience (Psychoneuroimmunology) focusing her research on Alzheimer’s disease pathology.
