Chris has 20 years of experience in the cannabis & hemp industries. He started a retail cannabis delivery service in LA called Sequoia Wellness that he ran from 2013 to 2019. He started a cannabis & hemp consulting company in 2016 focusing on marketing & strategy for new markets. Chris has focused his efforts in the hemp industry in the Midwest, particularly Missouri, Kansas, Illinois & Kentucky. Chris was, a founding member and Director of Member & Sponsor Relations for Angeles Emeralds (AE), a cannabis advocacy and lobbying group for Los Angeles County. As a member of the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) since 2015, Chris represented AE with NCIA’s Allied Association Program (AAP) from 2017 to 2019. In 2020, Chris joined the Hemp Committee (HC) as the Committee Organizer for NCIA and has been the Chair since 2022. He is also member of both the NCIA Sustainability Council and the Novel, Synthetic, and Minor Cannabinoid Collaboration. He has over 5 years experience, in the green building and sustainable energy industry. He is a Certified Sustainable Building Advisor (CSBA) and was a GreenPoint Rater & Advisor with the Build It Green program. Chris received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in International Relations from UCLA and an MBA in International Marketing and Brand Management from Thunderbird School of Global Management (part of Arizona State University).
